Any body know what age WS actually start laying eggs? And do Silkies perch? The people I got them from said they didn't seem to look for perches and that they're about 1 and a half before they lay. I don't like to call and bother them every time I think of a question.

mine started laying at about 6mo. they are 4yrs and still laying. all my silkies perched as long as it wasn't to high to get to. i do have 1 hen that likes to sleep in the nest. but she is always broody.
