So that's how it's gonna be, huh?

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

Sam has a skin allergy which has caused a yeast infection. The vet recommended Benadryl and a bath with medicated shampoo. Sam absolutely hates baths and it's always a fight. I end up having to pick him up (92 lbs!!!) and physically put him in the tub.

Here he is tonight, again being bulldog stubborn. Huh uh, no way am I going in there, he continually says, as you can see here in the picture. Notice the fight had already begun before I took this pic. See the rug all crumpled up? That's from me begging, tugging, coaxing, pulling, pushing, threatening, bribing, trying to get him in the tub. Eventually I was able to get his two front feet in and then the rest of him readily followed.

I don't understand his reluctance. He enjoys the bath once it begins. But it's always a fight to get him in the tub.

How do you guys do it? Do your dogs readily say, "Ok! Bath time! YES! I've been waiting a month for this!" Or do they run and hide? Sam would hide if there were any place to hide the big beast. And the funny thing is, I never even have to say "bath". He somehow knows I'm ready to give him a bath just when I get up from the computer or a chair or something. I think he has ESP. Bulldog stubborn with ESP. I know I'm in trouble now! LOL
