Terrible picture, the flower is a deep purple/blue thumbprint- is that what you call it?

I really like the foliage variegation on Park Avenue Blue
and thumb print flowers ! Glad I have a few of these growing . I think I got a leaf from Lali.

The var on Park Avenue Blue is very impressive. Of the var plants I have it really is more var than photos and it is nice. The Yellow Submarine was one I stumbled on (Violet Gallery I believe) and I wasn't sure how yellow it was going to be, but I wanted yellows- yellows are so nice and achoogardner they are not so common- Allison if I am wrong correct me, but don't yellows tend to sport more? Seems like I read that they are less stable.
Here is a better picture of Park Avenue Blue's flower

Here is Ajohn's Yellow Submarine again, today's photo but still not open and not the best photo- I will be interested in seeing how yellow the open flower is.

Oh, April. I love Rob's Loosy Noodle. The center eye is so pretty.

I have not heard Yellow's sport more ? They are harder for flowers to open but so are green's and double pinks. Yellows do like low light and grow slower. It is harder for a flower to look really yellow. I think it's Scientist that say there is really no yellow AV's yet. Oh well all in fun and hope for as much yellow as you can get !
Fantasy's are not stable and they sport all the time.
All your plants are so pretty !
Ajohn's I bought them all plants and leaves when they first came out and paid way too much $$$ and none of them lived. Not sure if it was where they came from ? But what ever it was leaf or plant I have no luck :((
So when the Russian plant came out I bought one at a time not to go crazy to see what would happen. Now these I have had good luck, from plant, leaf progating these do well for me.
I have 3 or 4 baby Park Ave Blue's growing. Your plant is gorgous !

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Nanna, yes that's what I like the center! I don't have many blooms but when I bought it one of the plants that I didn't want to pay for was covered w/ those flowers! It's what sold me.

Allison, can't recall where I read that about yellows, maybe on the AV home page in questions area...can't recall but think it had to do w/ someone questioning whether there will ever be a true coral AV.
I cannot take credit for growing my Park Avenue Blue, it came that way, though I do feel that something I did or did not do is responsible for the flower. Once I saw Yellow Submarine I did look at other photos of Ajohn's but they don't seem too commonly available. I have to say there were 2 things that sold me, and the name Ajohn was not one of the; 1st, it was yellow and second was the name- what can I say, I am a Beatles fan! Not the best reason for buying an AV!
