Timber Press sold to Storey Press in Vermont. Who thinks Storey will continue to produce such high quality books on coated paper stock. This, on top of Heronwood closing, is just too much.
Think I'll just not order from Burpee again, and I'll tell them why I'm boycotting from now on.

Oh nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! I love TP's eye-candy publications. :'(
I think I missed something here tho Ginny........why will you be boycotting Burpee?
Morning Madame L,
Burpee bought Heronswood some years ago. They didn't like Heronswood being so far from Head office (PNW) as opposed to east coast, didn't think their (H) catalogue was glossy enough . Thought it read too much like a dictionary. So,,, people who buy from H know how to do research. B didn't think for example, that catalogue space should be given to a rhodo that might sell 50 or 100 sales per year versus one that would sell 1000s.
So, many plants are being moved to B on east coast.
Total disaster.
