My son has a peach tree that has many small peaches on it. He sprayed for the first time after it bloomed. Some of the leaves look curled and blistered. What should he do? Spay again?
Thanks for your help!

peach tree help please?
It sounds like the tree has a fungal disease called peach leaf curl. It cannot be cured this year and if severely infected, it is better to remove most of the peaches this year. The tree needs sprayed in the fall after leaf fall with a copper based spray...then again next spring before bud break. The fungus overwinters in the bark.
Thanks so much for you advice! This fungus winters over even in this cold climate?
I would think that it does.
When spraying copper fungicides, be sure to spray the trunk well with all those cracks in the bark.
I'll tell him. Thanks again!
