I have two silkie hens that just had their first hatching. Am wondering how long does it take before they would start laying eggs again. My first time into this and am just wondering.

hmmm...my Buff Orpingtons hatched on April 27th and they just started laying eggs again a few days ago, so I would say about 30 days.
This is my first time doing this, so I don't know much, yet. Do you by any chance know about introducing a new rooster? Do you need a new rooster if you keep any of the young?
