OT but I wanted to show you an update

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Remember not long ago I planted some outside plants in different pots. Well since then I have put cardboard down and a little plastic fence around them. It was just something cheap that I got from Big Lots but I think it does okay. Here is the plants and the little fence on cardboard.

And I think this is really neat, how much the coleus has grown in this short amount of time.

Look at this square shaped pot that is totally covered with sweet potato vine and that other red thing. If you look at the right bottom corner you can see the edge of the white pot about half way up. Wow does this stuff grow.

Love the plant and absolutely love the pictures. I love how you do before and after. What's the secret?

Well most people use something like PSP. I use it too but I also use Microsoft Word. I take them to Word and size them down using the little things in the corner. Then once that is done, I highlight the pictures by clicking on CTRL and A at the same time and then right click on copy. Then I open PSP and paste the images as a new layer. That is my secret. I don't know how to use PSP well enough to do it all in there. I sort of figured out how to do it my way a few days ago. I have a friend that has been teaching me PSP but I have not learned enough about it yet to resize the images in PSP. So I do that part in plain old Word. Then take it to PSP.

I hope this helps.

Thats wonderful. I'm getting a newsletter together for my grandchildren and it would be great to add pictures. Thanks for the info.

I also found out how to make some funny photos by clicking on them and then hit print screen. Then I go to MS Photo Manager and crop it and now we have the same photo as before, just a little bit unusual. I think it looks cool.

Beautiful ! WHaT kind of soil did you use?

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks. I used Miracle Gro standard soil that says it feeds your plants for up to 3 months that I bought at HD. I wasn't sure what I bought so I just got the bag out of the trash to make sure. I bought Miracle Grow flower and garden soil today because I ran out of the other. But I'm thinking about going to swap this for the stuff I got last time since I know it does such a great job. I had no idea that this would even work. I just wanted to see if I could do it. I'm so happy that they turned out so nice.

Those are begonia's Jesse. Very nice photo's - isn't gardening great?

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes it is. I talked to my landlady today and she gave me permission to take out 3 really ugly bushes so I can put a bed there. So that will be my next project.
