I have heald back as long as I could....I just placed my first order with Epis by Pat - Now I can't wait to get them.
The silly thing is, I have almost no room in the winter for more plants and these will ultimately NOT be small plants! :)
I just couldn't help myself...
Congrats, Mary! I just ordered from her too, and the package arrived super fast! You just might find yourself chucking other things out to make room for these plants by the time they get to be big. They are special!
Oh my gosh, I must be crazy!! The ones I have won't even bloom and the plants are huge! But who can pass up the possibility of those gorgeous flowers!
Now to keep myself from going crazy and buying a slew of Echinopsis.... :)
MaryEv,
you are in good company.
I bought 10 Schick hybrids the other day from the Huntington Botanical Garden. ( I just picked - one yellow, one pink, one red....) Quite a few are budding already. They are so pretty! How can one possibly resist when everybody posts these gorgeous pictures of their blooms. Besides, they don't need that much room.
You are NOT helping!!! I've gone to Huntington's website at least 3 times in the last 2 days....I just want a pastel mix!!! AND I was thinking 10 - two sets of 5 - just $50 plus shipping, right? What could it hurt?
Aw sheesh, I'm in trouble! :)
Edited to say, okay make that 4 times. How long did it take you to get your order, Ursula?

We can hold hands and march into trouble together....
One look at that Schick hybrids website and I was toast!
Just in case anybody is wondering what we are talking about, here is the link:

I thought they were very reasonably prized. And I was pleasantly surprised, I had expected them to be all really tiny, but they were of reasonable size.
I think that is what's about to push me over the edge. If you had gotten seedlings, I could have resisted (maybe.) But if you got blooming size....
Mary Ev,
it took about 2 - 2 and half weeks for them to arrive. All perfectly labeled and wrapped.....
