Hey Allison, you remember I told you that I had drowned Red Bandito, but managed to save a leaf from it? Well, it has little tiny ears that I found today! Yay! I'm so happy! I was afraid I had lost it forever.
What a beauty it is!

Oh that is cute! My grandmother had read a poem (told me so many years ago that I can barely recall) w/ a phrase about a blue eyed bandito- one of my cousins has blue eyes and that was her nickname so when i saw the name of the AV I thought of both my cousin and my grandmother. Although red, it does create some fond memories so I will have to put that one on my list.

Oh Allison thank you that would make me very happy! I didn't want to seem like I was begging, but I had seen the name of the AV before and wondered about it. My grandmother was the 1st person I knew/saw growing AVs. My grandfather was the grower in the family and I think she never got any credit for what she could do- she shared them w/ me, it was something we talked about when I was a child spending time w/ her. She's been dead so long now that it would be wonderful to have something to be a constant reminder of her. I have orchids that remind me of my grandfather so this will be something special.

Thank's my neighbor gave me a few with almost gone candles in them. People like to give me things for my plants ! So I put them into reezer to get he old candles , wash bleach and perfect for plants !
