WANTED: Bamboo - clumping not spreading

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

I'm not particular except that I've been advised to get the clumping vrs the spreading. If anyone has any big enough to share please let me know - thank you!!

Hi Chantell!
I have Polygonum cuspidatum 'Crimson Beauty'. It's huge at this point and I don't know if there are any shoots small enough to ship to you. I can look though, if it's something you're interested in. Just let me know. If it's too big now, I can send you some next April.

Here is a link to the thread where I offered it for trade earlier this year.

And this is a thread on the ID forum with more information about it.

I don't wanna step on toes in another persons post, but I just wanted to say that is really pretty bamboo!

Thanks! I love it! It's a great privacy screen. :o)

Raingazer,
What a beautiful plant...I'll be happy either way...just let me know and thank you so much!!

I glanced under there, and it looks like there might be some small ones, if I can get far enough under it to get to them. I've got to trim it back because it's tall enough now to be rubbing the cars as we drive by. When I trim it, I'll look underneath for some baby shoots. Hopefully, that will get done tomorrow, but I can't promise. I'll let you know when I find out for certain.

Raingazer,
Please...I dont' want you hurting yourself crawling under plants "in search of" - I promise I can wait if need be...really. :)
Let me know...thank you!

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but wanted to say that I have the Polygonum cuspidatum 'Freckles' I bought it from Tony Avent several years back. You can see it on his site here: http://www.plantdelights.com/Catalog/Current/Detail/05427.html

I love the plant and indeed it is NOT invasive. In fact, I have only had two stray, and very small, pieces that I was able to dig up and give away. Mine is in full sun, so it gets a bit of red in the leaves. Everyone always asks about it.

I will be sure to let all know if I can ever get another piece of it.

Ah, polygonum.

I was surprised to see so many responders with bamboo in the subject.
