What would be good to plant in this site? I had three Red Ruffles Azalea here, but the spot is too sunny, and they had to be moved. The site is faces north and is on the west side of the house. I thought of putting two dwarf date palms on either side of the window, but then I have no idea what to do from there. I am learning gardening, so I am not sure what plants to put together. I would like some color. This spot has sandy soil and continuous sun, especially in the summer.
When the house was built, there were three pittosporum shrubs lined up in a row. They did well until they became difficult to trim back. I don't like bushes blocking the window. They also developed root rot and fungus. They were removed last year, but the spot has been empty for quite a while now.
Your suggestions would be much appreciated.
