You mean like this? It is invasive. I wouldn't think of putting it in a mud pond. In a liner pond it will get into shallow pots if it has a chance.

It will clump up in pot at the edge of a pond. In deeper water (8 to 12 inches) it will float like you have in the picture. I'm in zone 7 or 6b and it will come back each year.

Good grief, jackieshar! What you need to do is tell the neighborhood kids they mustn't smoke it. It'll be gone in no time.
