Bad hair plant

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9a)

I picked up this really kewl and different looking houseplant today. It's called a corkscrew plant. I'm going to try and find one of those head/face planters to pot it in. It looks like it's having a really bad hair day:-).

Awanda, this plant is going to look great in one of those head planters! I saw a clay head planter at one of my local nurseries, but they wanted $37 for it with a small pencil cactus inside it. Shuh!!!!!!!!!

I love that!

I bought one of these and it lasted me about 2 days. I'm not sure what I did wrong but it just totally flopped over about the 2nd day. So I took it back to HD and got my money back. I hope that yours grows well for you.

One secret to these is to never let them get dry. They would rather sit half full of water than spend a minute without soggyness. Love this rush. Or is it a reed?

I picked this up from a wholesale plant place and was told that it LOVES water. I have mine in the greenhouse and with the humdity and daily watering, it's a happy plant:-).

I think that is what happened to the one that I bought, letting it get to dry. It would make a cool terrarium plant.

Just had to keep it really really watered..would have done great in a pond! It died while I was on vacation

I got mine from HD and when it died they took it back since they guarantee their plants for 1 year. I would love to have another one to put in a terrarium. I think it would do well in there. They are really cool looking plants.
