Sun bleached hibiscus????

I have several hibiscus in my front yard that are bright yellow in color (Ft. Meyers, maybe?). They've always been bright yellow. Today I noticed one plant's blooms, that were yellow yesterday, today seem to be turning white.

Is it possible for the sun to bleach out the color? I've never seen this happen. Nutrient problem maybe?
