I am new

Central West (Rural), Australia

Hello everyone,
I am from a rural town in Australia.
I am computer illiterate,I have had my computor 4 months.
I am 58yr retired Dental Nurse.
Before my retirement gardening was really just another domestic duty.
Gardening for me now is a whole new world it is my hobbie.
I have been searching for a site like this for ages and here I am in,I think it is Texas,I still can't find one here,I think that has more to do with my computor skills which are nil. This site is so overwhelming for a beginner, both to forums, computors and taking- in all the amazing knowledge.
I hope someone can put me on the right track to becomeing more accustumed to the many sites and advise on the best way to start a routine, when I first click on what should my routine be.My main aim is to gain more knowledge about pretty basic things,I was never into bulbs or annuals,(planting them I mean, and now I am hooked, )and it is so nice to have contact with the outside world. Many thanks,Loris.

hello and welcome to daves from upstate new york.
the first thing you should do is check out all the different forums. click onto forums at the top of this page. then go to preferences and you will see all the different forums etc. there are. find ones that you are interested in and check them off. thereafter whenever you go to this website all the different forums you clicked onto will show up. from there you can ask questions. send pictures etc. its easy but if you have any trouble there will always be someone here to help you out.

this is the nicest gardening site in the world and you will love it.

p.s. is that really the name of the town you live in??

Well, now you have two hobbies. Gardening and computers. As you learn more, you'll wonder how you ever lived without - either of them. Welcome to Dave's Garden from Texas!!

Welcome Loris,
I am also pretty new to the site and I love it so many nice people here. I do alot of searching on the internet and this is the best site for learning about plant's and gardening I have ever found. Also has the nicest people you will ever meet. Just add the forum you are interested in and then don't be afraid to ask any question's you might have. You may not get alot of answer's but someone will answer. Also check out the plant trading and seed trading forum's. I have found them very helpful in getting started when you don't have alot to start with.
God Bless,
Keith
