My son went to fish in the creek on the back of my property yesterday, and picked this flower to show me. I thought I knew what it was but I have always wanted one but never had one. When I went back there to see the plant I was floored! Because I have been mowing this vine down for years not knowing what it was because I never gave it a chance to bloom. I know where they all are all over my yard. Now I will try to save some of them. Can anyone tell which one this is? Thanks. John
Passiflora?
Hello John.
That is Passiflora incarnata, commonly know as "Maypop". Good luck with them!

John,
You are most welcome. I, too, wish they grew wild here. I have some in a pot in my garden this year and am anxious to see how they do.

carrjohn,
Growing wild? You are so lucky. would mind digging up a few and shipping them to TX would you. Willing to cover expenses. I pay an outlandish amount for them at the local nursery.
