allamanda cherries jubilee

Wanted to show off some- not that I did anything but buy it. It was in bud when I got it and seemed to take forever to bloom. The size of the bud was amazing and the size of the flower is awesome! Very pretty.

I have this one and love it. Mine has not bloomed yet, but I do look forward to it. Hopefully, wont get a hurricane this year to tear it up like last year. At least it came back this year.

Just wondering if you ever get any freezing weather and if so, what if anything do you do to protect it?

OK April--add another cutting to my list....that is just so much prettier than the yellow variety. Plus for me, with my penchant for rudbeckias, its sooo easy for me to overdo the yellows.

edited to add--alamandas freeze for me but if your clerondendrum ugandadense (sp?) makes it...allamanda should too.

Oh yeah my Clerodendrum u. (can't spell either) always make it! Deb I have 3 different cultivars Cherries Jubilee, Purple ( supposed to be different from previous, but I bought it on ebay so not sure- it will bloom within the next day or so and I will post photo) and coffee and cream (just forming small buds so bloom is a ways off but per photos is paler and creamier in color). Per DG plantfile should be able to prop by cuttings so as soon as I get a bit more growth will make you cuttings.
