My husband and I ordered 28 bareroot roses to make a hedge a couple of months ago. The company sent a card cancelling the order. A few days ago the roses were delivered, but we had planted something else in the meantime. The company said the wrong card had been sent (it was supposed to say there would be a delay in the delivery). They did not want the roses returned, took the charge off of our credit card, and apologized.
Someone from Habitat for Humanity came to get them this morning. The woman said they would put one in front of 28 different homes. I like the idea that there will be roses in yards of homes built by this organization.
Consider donating plants to them! It feels good.
