Joe Blow is another of the rescue cats we have. He showed up very sick about a month ago, he had a hole on the side of his cheek, very malnutritioned, and he appeared to be dying. He is one of the cats that the people left across the street three years ago. The only thing is, he would never come close enough for us to touch him. Well, he showed up deathly ill.
DH took him to the vet, he had to have surgery on his cheek and they left the hole open. The cat was meds for about two weeks, then more antibiotics for another 10 days. Well, this is what Joe BLow looks like now.
I don't know why he is losing his hair. We took him back to the vet on Friday and she says she doesn't have a clue and will research it. He is still so skinny, he looks like black rug laying out there. He walks like if he is drunk (i was thinking it was his equilbrium) but then the antibiotics should have taken care of that.
Anyone have any thoughts on this.. here are some photos of his skin. He weighs now 5 lbs.
