I'm glad you're happy with our trade too! Amy sent me some wonderful perennials for my new garden bed.... green & variegated liriope, dianthus, shasta daisy, nice rooted cuttings of passionflower vine, and the cutest little hydrangea!
For anyone who's wishing they had one too, LOL, I've got probably 20 more little plantlets of Allegro Appalachian Trail that should be a really nice size for fall trades! I could send now, but it might be getting a little too warm, and I bet they'll be branching nicely in 6 oz solo cups by fall! It's one of my favorites, too, with that fuzzy, lighter green foliage and little fantasy blooms. It's a standard trailer that we got as a bonus from the Violet Gallery on our first trip there last fall, and Nannanavarro has posted some fabulous pictures of hers after rerooting & repotting.
Kenton posted a picture real nice one in Plant Files of his Appalachian Trail I had sent him as a baby ! He posted lots great other pictures too !

Speaking of fall trades. I am so ready. The leaves I put down in March are earing like crazy. I put another tray down just last week to "bring on the Fall trade" This time lets have everybody trade with everybody. Maybe that would be too crazy.
I can't wait for the fall trade. I did two Spring trades and 5 or 6 private trades . All of which I got wonderful plants and leaves.
But I just can't afford to do so many with shipping $$$
And I have no room...I still have no space..and my health just is not allowing for the care. Each day I pray just to be able to care for all the fabulous babies I have growing until they get to new homes !
I have many more boxes going out Yeah !
And couple more people sending money for shipping !
And I hope to do a couple Bingo Months ~
I will be thrilled to do a Fall Secret Swap and now we should be able to have one big one with so many super growers / back in Oct/Nov many people had no plants or no named plants . Now we all have some !
I am also more than thrilled to give my babies, plants , leaves away for shipping.
I have zillions of leaf pots over flowing and I am getting to them as I can all will be needing good home !
I tried my best to trade with everybody this spring! Well, I know I missed a bunch of people.... but I had so many in my trade tracker that after a while I had to stop setting up new trades. I still have a few boxes to get out (was sick last week & out of town this week), but I think at least 100 AV plantlets have been sent to new homes. Hopefully it hasn't become too hot to ship, as long as I pack the plants well and use a box big enough to allow me to include plenty of packing peanuts for insulation.
Allison, it's amazing how many boxes you manage to get out! As far as trading, I've said it before & I'll just repeat myself here... with the wonderful plants and leaves you have to share, I'd be happy to send some postage as well as a trade box. I know DH can't believe the $ I've spent on postage this spring, but I have to keep reminding him how much more I'd have spent to buy the plants outright (not to mention that purchased plants just don't have the same value to me as ones shared by friends). I wished I lived nearby... wouldn't it be fun to spend an afternoon helping you with those overflowing leaf pots?! :-)
it would be wonderful if we all lived close by so we could meet and help each other with our babies.

I'm excited about fall trades, too. I separated a bunch of babies from mom leaves today. It was so much fun! I hardly have room for them all. Hopefully I can get another plant stand soon.

I have always shipped all year, summer/fall , winter with no problem !
Good to know! I know you use heat packs in winter, Allison.... but in summer you don't do anything other than using insulation inside the box & styrofoam cups around the plants, right?
yes ! I've never had a problem. Now someone has to be home to take the package right in. Or write leave at post office for pick-up.
Good idea about post office pickup... might be something to check, to see what will work best for your trader.
