O/T Outdoor baby!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Hey All~

Just had to share the blossom that greeted me this morning! I grew this poppy from seed...it grew all last year to get established, so this is the first bloom. Almost two years from sowing!! Man, it was worth the wait...it's just stunning. Always wanted this color of poppy, too!!!

Ahem, yeah, I grew those Sweet Williams from seed, too and this is their first blooming year....~lol~

You're very welcome! When did you start the seeds? Did you grow them inside this winter?

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

I started the seeds inside the winter before last...that's why I'm so excited. It was quite a wait :))

Very pretty, Jacki.

I started some Blue Poppies this spring. They have grown so large already. I was hoping for blossoms this year, but I guess maybe not.

Thanks everyone! It sure is nice to have a place to communicate with other gardeners and say,"Oooooo, look at this!!"

And Don, you are in a warmer zone than me so you have a better chance for first bloom this year! So many perennials need a year to settle in first here....
