Dead heading?

Brownfield, ME(Zone 4b)

I am truely a novice but am enjoying my 1st Brugmansia a "Jean Pasco" it is doing great! I have a least 6 blooms.I got it as a small plant in May. Do I need to deadhead the spent blooms? I really don't need the seeds, when I get brave I will cut some of the branches that are growing at the base. Also where can I find pictures or read about of the different types I hear you talk about eg aurea, versicolor and candida. Thanks in advance

You will increase your bloom greatly if you will deadhead daily. And don't just remove the flower; get the seedpod, too.

The only reason I deadhead my brugs is to make them look better. I don't find that they bloom more or less when not dead headed and if I've made crosses, I certainly don't want to pull those off.

I don't think dead heading effects the quantity of blooms in brugs. I know it's implemented for that in regards to some other plants, but not brugs.

You'll only get seed pods if you have another type of brug blooming at the same time or if you cross it with another brug of a different type. Brugs are self sterile, so it wouldn't set seed on it's own.

Deadheading brugs SNUP other that aesthetics.

This technique mostly benefits plants that cease blooming after setting seed.

lol , a few brugs are self fertile.
