I just had the pleasure of meeting MitchF as he drove thru Arkansas. He was with his inlaws and his cute little son.
He must have worn his weed blinders because he kept saying my gardens were beautiful. Honestly I look out there and see weeds, weeds, weeds! Drives me nuts.
For about an hour, Mitch went on a digging expedition thru my gardens, taking a little of this and a little of that. He's not like me. I want a lot! A big clump of this, a hunk o that. But Mitch, he just takes a little stem. I had to keep urging him to take more, dig a clump, dig two! LOL
He never asked for a thing, which I think is unusual for a gardener. Don't we always beg? But he'd eagerly take just about anything I offered.
And Frostweed, Mitch mentioned you a few times, so as we'd dig towards the end, I'd say, "Take more. Give some to Frostweed." So I think he may have some plants for you when he gets back home and settled. I'll have to get back down to TX and meet you in person, Mitch recommended. Maybe next year.
Mitch, it was great meeting you. I hope you have a safe trip home, and I hope all the plants thrive for you. Thank you for going out of your way to drop by for a visit. I hope you enjoyed it here. We'll hook up next time I'm in TX.

MitchF Just Left Here! Have a Safe Trip Mitch!
NancyAnn! how sweet of you to send some plants for me with Mitch.
He is a sweetheart, Isin't he?
I will be lookinf forward to recieving the plants and also to meeting you when the opportunity comes.
Thank you again for your thoughtfulness.
Josephine.
Josephine, I didn't know what you have already or what you like. And I really don't even remember what Mitch took extras of. But hopefully it's something you don't already have.
I wish Mitch could have stayed longer. I'm sure there are plants I would have given him, but our visit was rushed. Maybe next year I can make it to the plant swap in TX and can visit with you both longer.
NancyAnn
That would be great, I hope we can make it a reality, in the meantime, please stay in touch. I will let you know when I get the plants.
Josephine.
Nancy Ann - Thank you soooo much for the plants and getting to meet you. The gardens are sooo lush with so much in bloom... just stunning! My Father in law kept saying on the way home how does she get all those plants to grow in such a small garden!
I have learned that every little stem will grow into a fine big plant in just a short time - IF I keep them watered! Everything made it just fine and they all look great.. really thank you for everything.
Hope to see you down here soon - you just have to meet Josephine and see her place.. ... .. really one of those gardens that will inspire you - just the perfect place to get ready to dig out a new bed with gusto!
Mitch
