Oh, thank you, Allison. I just playing this by ear. I wait until the top is dry and then water her. I love the bright color of the bloom and having her in the kitchen window, I see her a bazillion times a day. Thanks again so much for her.
Very nice, Nanna!
Don
She is wonderful ! I bought her maybe it's three years now ? hhmm or two. My first Flame violet. I saw one in a book and had to have one. So I typed Flame Violet into Ebay and fount Alice. Being I was named after my two Grandma , one being Alice ( but they named me Allison) it's beautiful color I had to have her. She was tiny in a little solo cup. I can't beleive how she grew. Mom just had to have some when she was big enough ! She calls her grandma Alice ! In the past couple years Mom brings her's for transplanting and it's always about 4 feet long of the softest big plants stolons really but so big.
My sister has one and I shared her with over 50 people free is they would share too/ So Alice traveled. For a long time you never saw her for sale and hardly on Ebay. I fount guilty like she was a family trasure just to share ya know Grandma Alice, when I sold three of them on Ebay. I sold two for $ 15.00 each and one person bought two so three for $ 15.00 each ! It was not long Alice was being seen on Ebay.
I never sold anymore just shared.
Your's is just wonderful Nanna You have not had your stolon long. You will be amazed how bushy and fast she will grow !
I know she loves your kitchen !
Very pretty!
Thanks, Don and April.
I am so happy she loves the kitchen. I am running out of room in the violet room. The kitchen window faces west by northwest. Gets sun about 2 hours in the late afternoon. The windows are double pained and so the light is somewhat filtered. I can't wait to see the other one bloom. There are several tiny buds just peaking.
That's a beauty!
Again...with or without the blooms!
Thanks
Hi Nan,
She is indeed a beauty! TFS!
