Colocasia Illustris Mutations ??

Louisville, KY

Well over the years I have seen some very odd forms of this colocasia. I hope to maybe select a few out if they can keep their mutations stable enough to release.

I called this one Panther Illustris which is much darker than the usual forms.

This is one of the odd balls that are not very stable. I hope this type of mutation can be selected and stable after sometime growing. In many cases the plant will grow out of this odd stage. But I have seen some keep this odd form and these I have pics of have kept it going for sometime.

This one has a very odd look to it. It seems to be very stable with its mutation but would like to grow it out fully to see what happens.

This I believe maybe a hybrid with Illustris or maybe it was one of the parents for producing illustris. I am not yet sure exactly what it is but it is similar. Illustris and others have a similar look to the affinis forms and they maybe hybrids of it? No one seems to know for sure. This beauty looks similar but much less dark coloration. Unfortunitly this form usually grows out of this dark stage and when mature has manly solid green leaves. But when young it produces leaves with this dark coloration? Any one know anything about this one??
