This is a columnea I think :) It is listed as so on the exotic angel website (she is an exotic angel plant) I got her for 7.99 at my local HD :)
anyone know the name of her?
New additions
Fantastic finds Lorry
I love them all .
Patti
Oh I LOVE exotic angels :)
I would be happy to send cuttings to anyone who would like some :)
This is the same one that Jesse was discussing a while back.
I have it too, but mine is no where near as 'lush' as yours!!
This one really despises drying out, but on the other hand doesn't like to be overwatered.
It's really a beauty!!
Oh, and I am pretty sure it's a columnea, too.....but mine has yet to bloom!
Great plants Lorry ! nice prices. I've always liked and bought the exotic angel plants ! the plant Eunice sent me was by them also. They sell a nice variety .Thanks for sharing your beauties !
EA does have *fabulous* plants and great variety (where *would* we get our 'exotic' plants if not for them?! lol!) but their labeling leaves a lot to be desired.
I hope that one blooms for you soon, Lorry!! Please be sure to post a photo if it does?
Which one Nan? I can't take credit for lush :) They jusyt came home today :) Oh never mind..read through and I get it..On exotic angles it says columnia but I think that is a typo :) and she didn't have a tag
Thanks Allison :) and yes they do :) They have some of my other addictions at good prices :) like hoya and such
I agree on the labeling though :) I have seen more mislabeling then proper labels :)
And you bet I will post a picture when and if it blooms :)
beautiful new additions lorry : )

I do think it's a Columnea, Lorry.....maybe one of the parents of 'Stavanger'? It's tiny like that one (well, not *as* tiny as that one!) and all the research I did on mine pointed to Columnea, even though I never did 'pinpoint' it's ID.
Well, shoot......actually I hope they *all* bloom for you.... Ü
but looks like #3 is already there!!
That one looks like another Columnea, doesn't it?
It is ..and the id on the tag says european mix
( Aeschynanthus) The original "Lipstick Plant", A. lobbianus, has hard-surfaced shiny leaves, with bright red flowers that emerge from a very dark red tubular calyx, in a fashion reminiscent of lipstick emerging from a tube.:))
For those more interested in the History of these plants !

The Columnea alliance is made up of epiphytic, mainly trailing, plants from Central and South America. It is a large group, with many popular ornamentals.

Lorry your plants are wonderful. So full and healthy looking. I especially love the columnea. The folage is wonderful.
OMG!!! That is the plant that I had that I lost and have been looking for for over a year now. Wow, you are so lucky.
Jesse
Yea..it is a shock Nana how healthy some of these exotic angel plants are :)
Which one Jesse? I would be happy to send you some of whichever one you lost.
Super finds, Lorry! You have the best luck finding plants! I find thrips, scale, and crown rot when I go to HD!
Very nice additions!
LOL RG..I usually do too!
The angel plants seem to be the only happy ones and only if I go when they just got an order in.
I adore the angel plants and buy them all the time :)
thanks achoogardner
I have always loved buying the angel plants too !
