Is this really a hoya?

Barboursville, WV(Zone 6a)

I've very recently discovered the hoya ..and let me tell you, I love 'em .. I have a list of ones I want to start collecting lol

My mom ordered this online and it said it was a hoya, but she didn't save the papers so I don't know what kind it is supposed to be. And, the only hoya I'm familiar with (to recognize a picture) is the rope hoya and the one they sell at Home Depot all the time..it has the fatter leaves..

So, I don't know if this is really a hoya or not..or which one..or what kind of care it needs..

HI....looks to me like you have H. cumingiana - aka H. densifolia aka H. golamcoina - but I could be wrong....

That's what it looks like to me too. Also it looks as if there may be a mealie bug in the axis of the leaf on the close up picture. If so, you need to get out the alcohol & zap him.

Do hoya growers try to confuse new people on purpose?? HAHA ...

Thanks!

I'll go look it up to see how to care for it
