Sprekelia

Finally I got a bloom on my Sprekelia...after 3 years...and a second bud is just forming. What an elegant flower.

Oh Todd, another match! Great sky shot, I shot mine against the bath tub. I only got it this spring and it's flowering. I had one a few years ago but a hard winter killed it off in the greenhouse in it's first winter, they are supposed to be able to survive in the ground in the right place. The person I bought it from was growing them in raised beds north of me. It was quite a big bulb and had a smaller one attached so I grew it separately.

Where did your foliage go?

Thats a great shot. I have foliage but the flower was above it, not below as in yours.

I did take a shot with a brown tray in the background but I should have cleaned the tray first!

Actually I can't see anything on the tray, the pixels on threads seems to have lost quality and there is some 'breaking up' in the background. The flower is focused. I put mine in PF and it looks better there. The bath tub (outside!) is a good backdrop, painted black! No boards required..

The lower petals on yours look different, or is that the angle?
