oh I love black labs. Had to put mine down when she was 17. Her hips hurt so bad when she would try to get up and walk. Was never sick a day in her life

How is your blooming?? Mine made those few blooms then nothing!!!! It is as healthy as it can be. I have fertilized so don't know hat else to do other than maybe put it where it gets a little more sun??

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

It bloomed for the first time today. Mine is in full sun. I use hibiscus fertilizer, but I've been a bad mommy and have only applied once since I planted. I see a couple of more buds, though.

Kramer will be 8 yrs in September and we're beginning to notice, during cool weather, that it takes a lot of effort to get up. Hip displasia a common problem with labs. Vet recommended giving him glucosamine condroitin pills, and they definitely give him relief.

I never knew that. Mine did fine until the last few years of her life. I just couldn't stand to see her like that. She got so bad her back legs would cross and she would fall so I made DH take to the vet.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

SOOOOOOO pretty.....Vossner you better watch out......I love slurpy doggy kisses. Bet they would help me dig :o) *snicker* *snicker*

Very nice, Voss! Donna is so bad.

Your dogs look great. So that is a problem with the breed? What a shame.
