I did Surgery

I did surgery on a few plants . African violets their growth habits enablers of always being able to share with others ! They amaze me..
First one I did was ; Angel Tears Trail (6126) 01/22/1986 (C. Sotkiewicz) Double white frilled/pink fantasy. Medium green, pointed, quilted. Standard trailer
I am so glad I have this Vintage trailer I don't know anyone else who sells her. I have share many plants and leaves from her.
I really need to buy an 8 inch pan pot for her. But she went from a 5inch pan pot to 5 inch azeala pot the largest I have. I will order one!
I re-potted her giving her lots of new soil tops bottom sides ! I took three nice size crowns off each went into their own three inch pot. they will be rooted in a week and in a few ready for adoption ! I also put 12 leaf cups down of her !

Here are the three crowns I cut off ! They have no roots but will root fast and in a few weeks be ready for adoption !

Here is the big family together !

Mom is very large, top,side , up, down...still dozens of crowns all from one crown..she has hundreds of leaves.. Now to get her blooming full again !

What I do is trim crowns off even and take long big leaves off top and sides to keep her uniform...
As fast as she grows maybe she should be in the garden as ground covering !

I'm convinced that you live in a bionic plant growth vortex, everything you touch turns to gold! (or GREEN! in your case! LOL) You sure have a magic touch!

It's crazy Lali Babies every where again. And how many hundreds of babyies I shipped babies more on the stands the next day. lol I have leaf pots over flowing . Everyday I work on some. I showed Robert lok at this plant it's mega hugh I have gven lot's of Angel Tears trail plants away...here is three big crowns I showed him as they were cut off their large to had to put them into 3 inch pots they'll root in notime. I cut off 12 large leaves to keep the plant growing uniform. And a lot of leaves went into the bucket. I would have shipped some but not shipping this week so I put them down. nd then I showed him the 4 suckers I took off of Annabelle and five leaf pots. And I told him Annabelle sells for $ 12.00 special now from only one place and a set of leaves $ 8.00 .
he was WOW ! Now I have two blooming Annabelles ! Three large sucker plants, 5 leaf pots from this plant and about 8-12 from the other plant and some of them have babies coming up ! And I'm not in buiness. Now if I was i'd have more. I'm just having fun ! growing and sharing them ! I re-potted a E. Chocalote Soldier tonight into 5 inch azeala largest pot I have now and about 5 good size babes off of her also !!!! And a E. F. Blue Heaven and two babies , I just keep potting and watering

Anybodt else doing Spring Time trans-planting and grooming ! Putting down leaves for Fall trades and sharing !

I'm about to do lots of repotting! I repotted EverYoung Saturday, but wish I had waited. Not being able to mail til today (Tuesday) would have been too long of a wait to offer leaves to anyone who might want them. I did put down several more leaves, so I'll have plenty to share come fall.
I took lots of pictures this morning, so I'll start a new thread and post those, and I got two FABULOUS boxes in the mail over the last week or so, and I'll post about those, too. Things are finally calming down for me so I can get back in the AV forum groove! I've missed all of you!
Angel Tears Trail is beautiful, Allison! I sent a baby to Pam in her bunny box, so she has one of your grandkids! :o) It was from a leaf you sent me.

Wow Amy ! That's wonderful. Yes I would have shipped out leaves but I have so many plants to trans-plant and just have to do what ever I can when ever little here one there ! Every plant I own is needing trans-plant and I have leafpots over flowing galore. So in-btween watering and shipping I do what I can. I enjoy working with my plants so much !
What's wonderful though we have been able to put leaves down and will have babies to share in the Fall though hard to think of now cheer us on threw the winter ! Plants bloom better in the cool/winter so by trans-planting grooming now yu are going to have pretty blooming plants all Winter long !
We will have plenty to share with each other so when it's cold we all won't have to be paying high shipping $$ to get plants we will all have a house full to enjoy and babies to play around with !

That is such a pretty violet! I just love the leaves! I would love to get my hands on Nancy Reagan...have you ever seen that one? It is such a shame that some of the vintage violets are just gone......thanks for the great photos as usual and taking the time to up them for us to google over...LOL!

Oh yes I've grown Nancy Reagan...! Superman...so many. I give them away. I tried to send all DG Peeps a Vintage or two in their boxes !

Lin Trailers are so much fun and easy to grow :)) Wish I could find the one thread I wrote about trailers and the two different types and how to grow htme. I did a search but my old computer froze up.

Double white frilled/pink fantasy.but was blooming deep pink fushia. Eunice posted a picture littlw while back with it in bloom.
I posted blooms of it some threads here somewhere too lol. Hard to find them.

Allison .... maybe after dinner, I will search through some of the threads to see if I can find them!

Oh Allison,I hope you can find it.I would love to learn more about them.I have a few but they are slow growers for me it seems.

I was reading this, thinking it was a brand new thread......and I'm reading that people are potting for fall trades and I'm thinking something is not right. Them I see the dates lol. Allison, your plants are amazing. It must be that TLC you give them that makes them thrive

Thanks I thought the pictures could help others :)) There are pictures of this plant in bloom by me and Eunice in other threads ! And I posted it in the 8 inch pot , same pot Eunice posted it in last in bloom ! I gave it to her shortly after that. Hubby was going to her home so I was able to give her large plants !

You sent me one of the babies, Allison. Sorry it didn't make it. Such a big, beautiful mother plant. Do you have any follow up on the plant. Is she still as lovely?

Yes Eunice post a picture of her in bloom I think last month in her 8 inch pot. I grew so many of her and gave dozens of sets of leaves. She grew for me like a weed. She was grown under lights close for me. Then Eunice sister had her for awhile she grabbed her when she saw her. It bloomed in natural light for her, then Mary got sick and Eunice got it back and was blooming gorgous for Eunice. Not sure where she is growing it.
Eunice will not be back on line for ahwile her Hubby had a bad stroke :((
To bad you lost yours it's a vintage hadr to find one of the best trailers I;ve ever grown. I loved growing them all !

Nanna here she is at Eunice Hubby brought it to her in the 9 inch pot where she still lives happy :)) Again she lived and bloomed for Mary and now with Eunice and before grown by leaf by me :))
Greatest trailer :)) But I must say I have never grown one I did not Love !!

Yes cool she has traveld to three Mom's :)) Coming back from Mary's home when Mary got sick Eunice toppled several plants but all are doing well.
