Rex watering??

Hi, I am realitivly new to Rex Begonias. I have several types, all doing quiet well -so far...
My question is how often to water? I have read several conflicting opinions; some say Rexs hate to have wet roots and others say to not let them dry out? Thanks for your help[ ( advise about fertilizer is also welcome)

The magic phrase is "keep evenly moist".
Too wet - the roots will die due to lack of oxygen.
Too dry - the plant will wilt.
