My Gardenia ia just about bloomed out.It has never been pruned but needs it this year.Would now be the time to do it?

Yes, now is the time.
Than you just take the cutting when the old bloom was, stick the cutting in a pot with potting soil wet the soil cover with a clear glass jar put in shade , water when dry and in about 6 weks you will have a new plant.or send the cuttins to me.lol
Thanks for your advice. To be honest, it didn't cross my mind that I could root those trimmings.I have the perfect place to add more.
