New From Texas

Just wanted to post a note to say hi to everyone. I live in New Braunfels, Texas and my gardening passion is vegetables (no surprise considering my online name huh?). I'm 43 and just starting to get serious about gardening. I've almost always lived where any meaningful sized garden was not possible, but now I have 1.66 acres - so I'm very motivated to make up for lost time. I'm really looking forward to sharing here and learning from everyone. It's comforting to know there is such a wealth of knowledge here because I have so many questions.

let me be the first to welcome you to daves garden. you will just love this place. you can get answers for anything from seed starting to when to plant and there are alot of texas gardeners here. enjoy the other forums also.

Welcome . . . I'm new to the site also. I'm a bit south of you - just south of San Antonio actually. I've always enjoyed the New Braunfels area and play'n in the river there ;)

Check out the Texas Gardening Discussion Forum if you haven't already. Lot's of Texans there with loads of localized info.

Thank you all for your nice welcome. I've been finding my way around the site, and I think I've figured out how to get everywhere (and then back again once I leave.....haha). Wow! - so much great stuff to read and learn here - I'm amazed.
