I've tried a handful of Rachael Ray's recipes, and will be making more since DH just bought her Express Lane Meals cookbook. All her recipes have turned out pretty good, but I can't seem to clock in at under 30 minutes (it's more like 40-45 minutes for me). Of course, her recipes start with the ingredients partially prepared (e.g., her greens are already washed and dried), whereas I don't prepare anything until I start to cook. Also, Rachael really flies around the kitchen (where does she get her energy?), whereas I'm nowhere near that fast.
I'm just curious: are any of you able to prepare a Rachael Ray meal in 30 mins or less? Last night I made her Drunken Tuscan Pasta (which was very tasty; DH was wild about it!) and it took about 48 minutes. I don't really mind the time it takes, I'm just curious about whether anyone in the real world, with a normal kitchen not set up for streamlined cooking, and with the normal interruptions of life (answering the phone, having to look for that bottle of wine you need, etc.) can actually make these recipes in a 1/2 hour.
