I am looking for cheeseweed seeds. Does anyone know a source? Thanks.
cheeseweed seeds
I have no idea what Cheeseweed is. Maybe you can look it up & find the latin name?
I found 2 matches in PF:

If the second one is the "dollar weed" that I'm familiar with, you might want to reconsider your search. Dollar weed is one of the most invasive & amazingly adaptive plants I know. It will grow in dry sand or underwater. The fragile roots & runners break easily, so it is almost impossible to elimate by simply pulling it up. I'm sure some DGer could send you buckets of it for postage, but trust me when I say you do not want this plant to get a foothold in your garden!
Thanks for your reply. The latin name for it is Malva parviflora. It is a herb and is used in Indian cuisine. I'm told it is quite invasive if it isn't kept under control. I am under the impression that it is grown in Arizona and California mostly but is found in other areas too.
If the seeds are also used in cooking, you might be able to find them at an Indian grocery store.... the germination rate might not be great, but you'd only need a few to sprout to get a patch of it started. Good luck!
