Misted most of yard this morning with messenger - when do you use mighty plant ?
Do you mist seedlings ? If so how often ?

Hi there! This is Robin…aka thripmaster on daves garden. I am responding to your question about how to best use Messenger, Mighty Plant, and the Puffer. Here is your question: I used mess 2 days ago, when do I use mighty plant?

What I like to do is to alternate Messenger and Mighty Plant. If you used Messenger two days ago, I would use Mighty Plant about three weeks after your Messenger application. Then three weeks after that go back to Messenger……Rotate like that. That is just what I do. There are many options. But the bottom line is to use one or the other every three weeks or so. No need to combine them because both contain harpin protein.

You also asked for more information about the Puffer. The puffer is a seed treatment that contains harpin protein. It encourages early vigor and also suppresses damping off of seedlings. You should puff a few puffs into the seed packet then shake the packet around to coat the seeds, then plant. I also like to use it on bulbs and rhizomes such as lilies and dahlias. Just puff a bit onto the bulb. The shelf life on the puffer is only one season. It is getting late. You better start puffing!
