It's here!! It's here!!!
I came back from a lunch outing and found Allison's box on my (thankfully shaded) front porch! YAY!!!
I've only just started unpacking, but so far I have unwrapped a perfect mini plant, 'Baby Moonbeam' (I just adore the pink & cream leaves!) and a wonderful plantlet of 'Silver Wings'. They are in perfect condition, so I had to write right away and let you know that the plants had arrived in great shape!
I have to cut this short, because I can't wait to unpack the rest of the lovely plants you sent!!!
THANK YOU!!!

Oh, Jill. What wonderful plants. I am so excited to see Ramblin Midget it blooms. Mine has the tiniest buds ever and I watch to see how much they grow everyday. Canot wait to see it bloom.
I hope they all do well for you and your leaves give you lots of babies !
Oh my gosh Jill! Lucky girl and that is Allison allright....isn't she just a precious lady!
Joanne
That she is!
I think her plantlets were larger than the 18 that I sent (a couple of them were really small, but seemed to be coveted varieties LOL so off they went).... but I think we've figured out that 18 well packed AVs is about all you can fit in one of those Priority Mail boxes!
I did not use a priority box for your's jill i used a larger box i had got pots/suplies in ! It was a large box as i needed 12 inch hanging pots too ! And the box you used for my plants was larger than priority too. Now the most i put into a large prority box is nine plants in the winter with thick insulation, then i tape two large boxes on top of each other ! Spring/summer shipping large priority box depending on size of plants as i send many out in 3 and 4 inch pots a lrg. priority will hold for me 6-9 plants up to 13 plants the most. Except or when I shipped Bob's were large 7 plants iiiin two large prioriy boxes taped on top of each other :0)
Then I wanted room to put a small box of special leaves for you jill too ! I like to make sure leaves are best protected as i can !
It was fun growin all these plants by leaf for you all winter long ! Some sense Fall but when you said you like it was saved fo you ! I could not wait to send them to you !
Fun trade Thanks !
LOL.... I forgot which boxes we used, just recalled they seemed to be the same size & fit the same number of plants!
Your leaves are all down and looking great!
You're right, it was fun to pot up special plants & watch them grow & know who they'd be going to!
Thanks for a fun trade!!
Yes there was no way all our plants fit into one large priority box. lol You used a large printer paper box I think it was and it was atleast twice the size of a large Priority box !
Nice selection. They are so pretty. I'm happy for you.
Jill how are your Royal Wasp and The Martin plants doing !
They're doing fine! No blooms for a while, but I think I see some buds, and I see 'The Martian' has a big sucker that's ready to repot...
I also have a teeny plantlet of 'Vespa Typsy Rae' wasp that I think is the sole survivor of the box of leaf pots from you that didn't fare well traveling in the heat. (As I've said before, they were packed beautifully, but I'll bet they got left out on a hot loading dock or something en route.)
BTW, I've noticed that you're spelling it "Martin" and others are calling it "Martian" with a second "a".... It's not in FC, but Bluebird has it listed as "The Martian," so maybe yours is a typo?
I have and my old wireless keyboard so far from desk messe up all the time.
The Martian (Dates) THE MARTIAN dark blue Wasp flowers. Bustle foliage. Standard (User Database)
Thanks for checking that for me! :-)
Your well-come I do spell and type awefull
