I have an AV Optimara named Little Rhodonite that Allison sent me in February. It was beginning to not look very well. So I decided that it needed a bigger pot and started to repot it. Well what I found was that there were two separate plants growning in the same pot, and was outgrowing the pot. So I split them up and made two plants out of them. I will be so happy when they finally bloom. Here is what it looked like before I split it up.

WOW your's are growing really well ! I grew so many of this name babies ! When I bought the leaves the seller sent me extras. Mine arn't growing as well as your's . Maybe I should send it to live at your home. lol I think mine needs to be tran's planted !

Thanks to both of you for the compliments. I went all my life without growing any plants because I thought I could not get them to grow and that I would kill them. Then a friend of mine gave me a challenge, knowing that I would never back down. So I bought one, then two, then on and on. It has taken me a couple of years to figure out what I'm really good at. I have two full shelf units full of cacti and succulents and the other full of AVs. I have bought a ton of tropicals at different times but they alsways die on me. Or I see other cute little plants that are just so cute that I have to have it. But it always dies. So I think from now on I will stick to my C&S and AVs, and the other gesneriads. And all of you make this so much fun. If all I did was grow my plants but not share with anyone or talk to anyone about them, they would not be as much fun. But the DG AV club really keeps me going. I am so thankful to all of you.

I love the delicate, pointed leaves on Little Rhodalite! Good job on the separation & repotting.... you've got a couple of wonderful plants there! Allison sure does grow healthy AV babies, and they just flourish under your care!
