Thought I would share these with you all........First of the season. Two more have buds, and am waiting for the rest to follow...Been so terrible hot here, 94 today. Poor things looked so wilted....Water,Water,Water..........
I just love these Brugs!
Just beautiful! Your garden looks cool and green, but I know how hot it has been!
I'm curious about what kind of sun exposure you get in this spot. I have two variegated brugs in a spot that is in high shade most of the day and then gets about 2 hours of late afternoon sun. As you can imagine, they've been wilting in the afternoon heat, but they do perk back up.
That sure looks so cool and inviting. I hate it when they wilt, they look so sad. But I am always amazed when they totally recover later in the day.
i'm really concerned about the heat and sun here in louisiana. i have my first brugs on the way. should i make sure they have a lot of shade?
they are so pretty.. mine wilt to then shade hits them they perk up.. taking lot water in this heat.. 90's here to.. hope today does not get up that bad.. sorta over cast then back sun comes out ..

The brugs I have in my garden are on the east side of my home, the back yard. I have lots of trees, so the sun doesn't get on them until about 11 am or so, then its gone by about 3 or 4. The one in my picture I posted gets a little more sun, as its closer to the area that starts about 11 and doesn't get shade until evening time.(on the corner of my backyard facing the south. But they sure do come popping back once the sun goes in and it cools off some.
Just lovely and I understand about the heat and wilting. Since moving, I have planted mine where they will get more afternoon shade. I know they will wilt in the heat without sun but I am hoping to see them revive earlier in the late afternoon.
