This is before... I took out 15 garbage can loads of Lava Rock, all the stinky black plastic.. worked the soil with bag after bag of soil builders... and then.........
Before Brugs..
KA POW IE I'm almost done!
I planted my best seedlings and one each of most of my cuttings.... not to mention a zillion other things.. The front area is not planted so I can dig up the old sprinkler system.
Thank you to all of you experts for the help, Moonglow for my first cuttings, and inspiration from all the beautiful photos here on DG. My first Brug garden is my favorite place in the whole world.
Wow awesome job Joyce ! Thats looks beautiful

I am so proud of you! You have been working your fingers (and your back) to the bone! It looks great and when those get over the fence line and start blooming, you will be getting lots of visitors dropping by to find out what they are! LOL
Wow, that is gorgeous!!!
AND DONNA for the 5 huge brugs you gave me! I'm sorry I didn't mention them cause they are not in the ground. They are my treasured ones for sure cause they gave me my first blooms. The white seedling gave me my first true and flawless bloom.. and it was to die for. I can't count the cars that drove by and pointed to it. I can't wait for the rest of the buds to get big.. that one single bloom filled the whole driveway with scent.. I loved it. So thank you Donna.. not only for the brugs, but for the RU and all the effort you put into it.. and all the fun and awesome plants there, and the tips you give me to keep me addicted beyond hope, and the best sense of humor ever. Your the best.
LOLOL, you are welcome. There was no need to mention it, I know they are in a good place and will be happy. You are a wonderful brug mama. They are lucky to be with you! I was happy to get rid of them & you were happy to get them, so it was a win win situation. And the trip to get those brugs to your house was so darn entertaining, it was well worth it! I will never forget you hanging COMPLETELY out your window pointing something at me while we drove with our cars loaded with brugs sticking out of every opening. LOLOL I could NOT figure out what you were doing. LOL I never DID see that picture!
And no, YOU'RE the best! :~)
WOW Joyce!!! So healthy looking and so happy. They are going to be so beautiful. And get so huge. LOL. You will be shocked at how big they will get. I can't wait for them all to be in bloom. Promise you will post pictures.
Looks great! I was just thinking that the traffic on your road is gonna be slow slow slow!!! lol.. I wish I were close enough to see it! Post tons of pics once they bloom! It's going to be spectacular!
Thank you so much everyone!
I promise.. I will post pics..
Yes Kell... I don't REALLY know how big they will get.. I know I am in for some pruning, and maby even some digging up! LOL I tried to keep them at least 2 feet apart.... but I'm sure I will be "thinning the herd" when they get bigger.
Beautiful babies! If they are in ground, you will be thinning indeed. No one TOLD me that they would grow to 15 feet in any given direction (in less than 2 yrs I might add). LOL! The ones that I have 10 feet apart are too close. Pretty though. Good luck.
Oh they do look wonderful, congrats on them all, can't wait to see photos too.
I love your wall of brugs!! Your hard work is evident, and the photos say it all. I wish you great growing, and I can't wait to see future photos too.
My Oh My... You sure had quite the project there. What a load of hard work you did for your babies. I hope you will enjoy the fruits of your labor this summer as well as everyone else who passes by your wall of Brugs. What an accomplishment! Looking forward to pictures later on this summer.
Congratulations, it looks great!!!
Bonnie
You have done a wonderful job improving the area. It will be a knockout site when everything is grown and in bloom.
Thank you everyone.. sheeesh.. I'm kinda red faced... You are all too cool.
Yes, it was an incredibly hard job, but I had to do something cause every day I couldn't keep up with the watering when they were all in pots.. I got so sick of seeing wilted brugs, it was great inspiration.. I know I will have a lot of work when they get bigger, but at least for now they are as happy as I am.
Anyone remember BeeBee my very first "breech" baby seedling?
She is now 2ft tall and her trunk is a massive 4" in girth!
That bed is going to look awesome when in full bloom. I can imagine the fragrance and the color. Can't wait to see your pictures of it in bloom. After all the hard work, it better show off well for you.
Wow! They certainly look happy.
Great job!! I can only imagine the work put into that. This will be so perfect for you AND the traffic driving by!
Joyce...that is gonna be BRUG HEAVEN!!..Wonderful place to have them....Jeanne
I just hope you do not cause any accidents this summer. At the very least you will cause traffic jams you know. And I am not kidding. LOL
I had to update this thread too... I look at these pics and hardly remember when this Wall-O-Brugs wasn't heavenly! I have 12 brugs with buds.. I think they will hold too.. some are 3" long... I will post when they bloom. Here is a pic of today... (Yes, I have to be dragged in the house to go to bed at night.. I stay out till I can't keep my eyes open any longer.. and sit out there to watch the sun come up too.)
Many thankz to all DGr's who inspired me to plant.
ZZ, that looks great, it will be a show stopper when they start blooming!
When in flower, you will be so happy. And you still have a long growing season ahead of you. I can't wait to see pictures.
Definitely a show stopper and awesome Idea to line your area with Brugs!!..Can't wait to see 'em in bloom!!..Jeanne
