Witty rejoinder

Frank Muir and Denis Norden were U.K. television and radio comedic personalities and they had worked together as hunourous scriptwriters and on television shows for many years.
' My Word' and "My Music' being two shows which ran for over twenty years in the U.K. and were broadcast in many other countries.

I found this litle gem in Frank's autobiography 'A Kentish Lad.'

They, along with their wives had attended a function and afterwards, Frank said to the others, ' let's go and have a meal together.'

They all agreed and as they walked on Frank said to Denis
' Do you know, it is over twenty five years since we all went to a restaurant together?'

Denis replied ' Well, I hope you're not going to make a habit of it.'
