New from Va

Hello all from Virginia. Haven't been on Dave's long and am enjoying it already. Have meet some very nice people already. I am 43 Married and have three beautiful little girls six,three and almost two weeks old. They enjoy helping daddy in the garden.Think they just like getting dirty. lol .Planted a garden this year for the first time in a long time. It's doing pretty good. Also have pumpkin's coming up from were the girl's got pumpkin's from church last year, then let them rot and busted them open and planted seeds in a little round dirt spot we have out front. Belive it or not they came up. Big time think we got 18 plants out of that. Gave three to the neighbors and am letting the rest grow hoping we will end up with some anyway to make them happy.Don't see why not .Have no idea what kind. I am wanting to get a greenhouse and start growing everything from seed. Vegtables,and all kind's of flower's. Guess i get my love for flower's from my mom and grandmother's. Now if i can just get my wife more interested in them. lol. Look forward to getting to know all of you.

Where is Goodview? I'm about to move to SW Virginia.

Welcome; glad to have you here. I don't have any young children but our two granddaughters (10 & 11) live about a mile down the road and love to help Grandpa in the garden.

It is about 20 miles from Roanoke Va which i beleive is considered SW Virginia. Where are you moving to? Goodview is near Smith Mountian lake if you have ever heard of it. Nice place to live.

Speaking of Smith Mountain Lake....I lived in Penhook for a while...owned a mobile home park on the lake. I plan to visit friends and relatives in the Roanoke area in October...hope to go to the Market downtown and have a good hot dog!!

Darius...is Marion a sure thing...have you finally settled on a new place to hang your hat? That's right on my path of travel when I come East...Jo

Jo, looks like we have the home equity approved (and not clossed yet) but they might loan us more after an appraisal. Closing is set for June 15. I expect I shall be there by myself until my sister's house sells... hopefully by the end of July or early August.

Well Darius...that is great news...you might just have to meet me in Roanoke in October for a very good hot dog!! We'll get Keith...and others ...to go with us...Dufus1 lives just up the way on Rt 220 North of Roanoke. now that's an idea....Jo
