And i really dont have anything to trade... :( but would like to be able to participate in 'trades', of course, sending postage for plants that need a home.
How do i go about this? There are members trade lists, but i really cant start one, as i have nothing to trade..

Look for trades that say for "SASBE" [self addressed stamped bubble envelop] or if the trades posted don't say "will trade for XXX only" you can always ask if they are willing to trade for postage.
Alternatively you can post a thread " Wanted XXX, willing to pay for postage" and see if anyone responds.

Your best bet is to make a post asking for "plants for postage". It isn't actually a trade. :) I am sure lots of people will offer their extras if you leave a brief note about what you like or need. The best info to include is what zone you are in, if you have lots of sun or shade, need things for wet soil, clay soil, etc. People are far more generous if they have some idea what you need.
