Some Flag Facts:
According to popular legend,Gen. George Washington & two representatives from the Continental Congress visited Betsy Ross at her upholstery shop & showed her a rough design of the new American Flag.Although Washington initially favored using a star with six points,Ross advocated a five-pointed star,which could be cut with just one quick snip of the scissors.She won them over.
The colors of the flag stand for courage,truth,& justice.
Like the US Flag,the color that appears most in all flags of the world is red.
The one place where the flag flies 24 hours a day,is never raised or lowered,& is never saluted is-the moon.

I am trying to figure it out here with a piece of paper, and I am stumped! Colie, how on earth do you make a 5 pointed star "with one quick snip of the scissors???" That sounds like a trick I NEED to know! :-)
