The "choice" high school, (alternative "school" for deliquents and other anti-social types), is having a BIG plant sale. This weekend, May 19, 20, 21, and May 26, 27, 28 at Shelton, Washington. It is from 9-4 each day, and is located at the Oakland Bay Jr. High (Shelton Jr. High), located behind wal-mart. The third shelton exit, (for those of you on Hwy 101, Northbound from Olympia area, turn right, and go about 300 yrds past wal-mart on the left.
For those using Hwy 3, make a right as you come into Shelton, (by the abandoned gas station), first left, then keep going until you run into wal-mart. Right at wal-mart onto wallace-kneeland blvd. Jr. High is on the left, just past Wal-mart.
I got 12 individual GIANT sunflowers for 1.50, and two really healthy pumpkin plants for 1.50. I saw a bunch of basil, (I think there were six or eight plants) for 1.50.

Four tomato plants ~6"
2-Early Girl, 1-Stupice, 1-Sweet Baby Girl
1-6/pk Mammoth basil
2-6/pk Sweet basil
1-Greek oregano
1-German thyme
9-4" Irish moss - overflowing the pots
Thanks bluelytes!
LOL Katy, you weren't kidding about getting there ASAP!
I hope there are plants left on Sunday!
Marion, if my checkbook wasn't a little "slim" this month due to DG co-ops I might have been tempted further. Incredible prices on trees and shrubs, all very healthy looking. Lots of veggies, perennials, annuals, you name it! Hmm, I wonder if Shelton has a pawn shop. LOL
KATY,
Yes, we do have two or three hock shops, lol. I might give ya better rates, though, lol
KATY, MARI,
Dont have to rush out, its running NEXT weekend also, ;) I am gonna try to go in Sunday, for the "clearence", hehehe.
Best Regards;

LOL I know of a pawn shop in Sumner near where I work. I wonder if my husband would be mad if my a few items around the house went missing but I suddenly had a car full of plants hmmm. Probably not a good idea though!
MARI,
Nothing ventured, nothing gained!! lol
Best,
Bluelytes
