This greenhouse used to belong to the city of Moose Jaw. It was built back in the early 1920's and was abandoned for many years. A couple of years ago a young couple purchased it and, with much of the lumber that was lying around, restored it.
The pic below shows about 1/4 of it's frontage.
I love this greenhouse! Ü
Ah the joys of greenhouse hopping! Ü
The chocolate fountain (with wonderful fruit kabobs), etc. are just a one day affair tho.
I'd gladly pay however if they kept them there for the season. ;)
Whatever gives you the edge eh? Maybe they don't sell a lot of plants that day, but they must win customers that won't forget them.
It is their Mother's Day gift to their customers. I should ask the owner how the sales were (I know when I joined the line it was about 20 people deep).......I had to wait quite awhile to take pics with a bit of a view. They are a lovely couple (and they let me in prior to spring opening :). They usually have a couple of the old wooden wringer washers (full of plants) for sale as well.
They've done so much work there......building retaining walls with stone, digging a huge pond, and now they have a large shipment of bricks (they are in the process of designing and making a year round tropical plant greenhouse). It also has a lovely underground root cellar (it's about 30' x 30').

Well they could give away Cocaine. Chocolate-Cocaine both addictive and people will just keep coming back for more. good idea
Oh wow! What a cool place to go!! Did you buy anything???
:) Donna
LOL Sofer I think the chocolate alone will do it (I'm pretty sure even the Coca-Cola company had to give that combination up years ago ;).
Bought a lot of basket stuffers and Coleus there Donna. :) Now we have to head out to the town of Caron.......they have the nicest potatoe vines (usually four times bigger than anywhere else). I've got a couple of newly divided plants and some cuttings I'm trying to start so will have something to send your way soon. :) edited to say they aren't coleus or ipomea.
