It was mislabled tropic snow.
I am in florida zone 10a and am hoping I can
grow this outside.
Any idea on an ID?
Thanks!
Please help me ID this dieffenbachia
Can't say for sure, as many of the newer cultivars look so much alike (not to mention that they look like the newer Aglaonemas and some Homalomenas, too!) but yours strongly resembles the one I have named D. 'Octopus'.
Are the stems quite thick and sturdy (like the large growing ones) rather than fleshly like the smaller growing ones?
Mine are quite large, thick and sturdy....'Octopus' doesn't have the tendency to 'flop over' out of the blue like some of the small growing Dieffs.
I don't see why you can't grow it outside. I'd stick with a morning sun/shade garden with Florida's sun so hot. We grow everything outside !
I've had this ID'd as Tropic Forest.
Thanks all !
JG
