Hi!
I am looking for a good seed catalogue with lots of variety. perennial plants like heuchera, echinopsis. echinacea, achillea etc.
thank you
Anna
good seed catalogue
You could try J. L. Hudson, Seedsman's catalogue...check out their web site. You can order a catalogue there I think. I am wading through Chilterns seed catalogue right now, it is a huge set of offerings, however the prices are higher. Select Seeds has a cool catalogue of heirloom plant seeds. There are more but you can stay busy with those 3.

:)
I just got an interesting one yesterday. Not that many exotic varieties, but lots of info on growing and trivia. Has mostly antique and old fashioned varities. www.selectseed.com Here is what I do.......I get every kind of seed cataloge (sp?) I can and browse through each. When I find something I love and have to have, or might like, I tear it out and tape it in a note book. That way, I have a picture, description, and proper name. Occasionally, I go through it to see if my tastes have changed from season to season, or day to day. They are also nice to shake those rainy day blues.
Kelly
that is a great idea Kay. thank you.
If you are looking for achillea, I have red, pink and white plants. Do you like to trade? I also enjoy looking through Michigan Bulb, Interstate Nurseries, Kelly Nursery...you can get some good prices. I am an echinacea lover and just ordered a collection from Parks (prices are pretty high but this collection was marked down from $149 to $99 for 14 plants including all the new varieties.) Most were running $13 or $14 each and I had been wanting several of them and drooling over them for two years so approximately $7 each seemed too good to pass up.
Best wishes,
ddensmore
