I have a 2' pagoda dogwood tree growing in the spot I need to clear out.
It's branched beautifully and is just the right size to be transplanted to
a permanent place. http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/1771/index.html
I love these trees and have a few under the oaks in the truely naturalized
part of the yard - for the last 40 years people where going there twice a year
to pick up trash.
What am I looking for? I'd like a fruit/nut bearer to replace 2 hardy filterts I lost.
Another project I have going on is the shade, mainly fern and hosta garden I've
started. I already have enough ferns and need color for this shady area.
Ideally plants with interesting folliage that would be there before the ferns unfold,
like jack frost brunnera http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/56830/index.html.
