I was walking though ARE today and asked the Keep if they had any silver pony foot and 4 " pots. I was really ticked off when they replied that they had just sold the last of their order over this past weekend. Golly that really makes me unhappy. I have been trying and trying to get my hands on it. I did sneak some from the ground one time I was there (just kidding-- the Keep scooped some from the mat and put it in a pot for me) well it did not take and died.
It is, I guess, a ground cover. rides low to the ground, handles traffic well, and leaves are lobed with light silver to white semi-fuzzy leaves. I do not know the scientific name for it.
Does anyone have any they are willing to let go of some or know where to get some. I am tired of trying on my own. Spirits are getting down in the dirt.

looking for pony feet
Hi Calvin,
I think what you are looking for is 'Silver Falls' Dichondra. Try a google search and you should be able to find many links to seeds and plants for sale.
I have a hanging basket of it, but I believe it is a patented plant and understand that personal propagation is currently prohibited. I'll get my husband to take a picture of it and will post it for you. If I am wrong about the propagation being prohibited, someone please let me know, because I would LOVE to propagate it!
Hope this helps,
Kenya
Here is the hanging basket of the dichondra. It is the second year for the basket and the growth is somewhat thinner now than it was last year at this time. When I bought the basket you couldn't even see it for the profusion of overhanging tendrils! It was stunningly beautiful. I have recently fertilized it, so we will see what happens a little later in the season.
that is it.................
Now I know the real name.
So, the keep at the nursery did a no no.... oh well, I have no evidence except this here thread........ I'll deny it if asked.......LOL
I do want some. I have started planting rock raised beds and wouls really like to see some of oozing over the rock and on tothe ground like a stream.
thank you for all the help.....

Calvin, call Rainbow Gardens Nursery (my favorite place for plants, especially Texas natives, in San Antonio. They had lots of it in 4 inch containers and habging baskets last year. I haven't been there in a while so I don;t know if they have any right now.
Rainbow Gardens on Bandera Rd. has it, but only in gallon pots or hanging baskets. You do have to water this at regular intervals. I hear it can go away if not watered in our climate.
